Crowded House with a crowded house.
The second of BoyNextDoor's three shows at the venue was packed for The Bowery Ballroom. Neil Finn apologized almost halfway into the set for what he considered the lack of hits in the play list. The songs they were playing were much of the ones I wanted to hear, and my favorites, so that did not matter to me or most of the fans there. "Italian Plastic" especially proved this case, with the crowd reacting to that song with an energetic sing along. They did their feet songs, one after the other, "Fall At Your Feet" & "Nails In My Feet". At one point, they played almost all of "Woodface". Neil said the set list was pretty packed, but they would play it anyway when an audience member shouted out "Four Seasons In One Day", which also had quite the audience participation. They did, and it was fantastic, much like "Italian Plastic". The fact that they did not play "Don't Dream It's Over" was fine with me. The band is back to its usual stage persona, with witty banter and humorous improv songs. A big success was a little ditty about the perils of the Australian bush. The entire night was a big success.
